Riders protest icy conditions

In February riders in Berlin were forced to deliver food on their bikes despite temperatures reaching down to -16 degrees. On 11.02.2021 riders from Lieferando and Wolt protested against the icy and dangerous conditions, to raise awareness of the risks they face cycling on the road. Only this week a rider was killed by a car in Madrid, and a few weeks ago another in Frankfurt. 

The riders are demanding that the delivery companies take their safety seriously and cancel shifts during icy weather without pay deductions or other negative consequences for riders.
