Strike at Valeo Chrzanow

On 12 November, 2025, a strike organized by WZZ "Sierpień 80" trade union took place at Valeo manufacturing plant in Chrzanów, Poland. It was a hybrid strike - 2 hour long walkouts during every shift. On November 20, 2025, the strike turned into a general strike at the Valeo plant in Chrzanów and its branches in Trzebinia and Mysłowice. To prevent the strike from halting production, the management is bringing employees from the factory in Skawina to Chrzanów, and office workers are preparing to work on the production lines, as well.

The workers are fighting for higher wages and safer working conditions.

Colleagues from Workers' Initiative (OZZ Inicjatywa Pracownicza) trade union and the Social Justice Movement (Ruch Sprawiedliwości Społecznej) came from different workplaces to show their support for the workers.
