Carhaix is a town in Bretagne, France, with 8,000 inhabitants and a hospital.


In 2003, three departments of the hospital were going to be closed. The inhabitants and the workers fought to prevent the closure.


After several months, they were finally successful: the departments stayed in Carhaix.
